A tractor is a general large truck or semi-trailer that is towed by tools between the front and the box, so the front of the vehicle can be separated from the original box and towing other boxes, and the box can also be separated from the original box and be towed by other vehicles. The front of the vehicle with driving capability is called a tractor, and the vehicle with no driving capability in the back is called a trailer, and the trailer is towed away by the tractor.
There are two ways to connect the tractor and the trailer: The front half of the trailer is placed on the towing saddle above the rear section of the tractor, and the bridge behind the tractor bears part of the trailer’s weight, which is a semi-trailer; Or connecting the front end of the trailer to the rear end of the tractor, the tractor only provides forward pulling force and drags the trailer, but does not bear the weight of the trailer, which is a full trailer.
Semi-trailer tractors are commercial vehicles equipped with special devices to tow semi-trailers. The front part of the semi-trailer rests on the tractor that pulls the fifth wheel, and the rear drive axle of the tractor bears part of the weight of the semi-trailer.
It is often used for the transportation of large quantities of goods in or between workshops, such as transportation from the automobile manufacturing warehouse to the assembly line, and luggage transportation at the airport.
